Gretna Weddings at The Mill Forge

The Mill Forge is located just two miles from Gretna Green. Its unique design offers you the best of both worlds, as you can walk down the aisle to the anvil, where weddings are performed by either a Minister or by a Registrar.

The interior boasts local craftsmanship in the open timber roof and sandstone detail in the walls. These features along with the candlelight and soft music, make for an enchanting church-like ambience which is perfect for a romantic Gretna wedding.

After the ceremony, you can have your Gretna wedding photographs taken in our beautiful gardens before enjoying your wedding reception in one of our three function rooms.

Religious Weddings

A local minister performs a shortened church ceremony. These ceremonies may include a blessing or prayer but do not contain hymns.

Civil Weddings

The registrars come out of their office to The Mill Forge to perform a typical registration office marriage ceremony.

 

N.B. The fees for the minister OR registrar to conduct the ceremony are NOT included in any of our packages.
